I have been a licensed child care provider in good standing for the past
9+ years. Also, I am the parent of three children aged 10, 8 and 1.
My educational background includes many hours of child care related coursework and a BA in Russian
from the University of Maryland. My training qualifies me to be a large child care center director but I prefer working
in a smaller setting. Recent training includes a Handwriting Without Tears Seminar which focuses on teaching writing from
an occupational therapy approach. Every winter I take CPR/First Aid for review and recertification purposes.
I completed my 90-Hour Preschool teaching certificate in the fall of 2003. I am an active
member of the Howard County Family Child Care Association, the Howard County Food Program and several national child care
provider networks on-line.
I love working with children and take pride in creating a fun and exciting preschool curriculum
in a caring family atmosphere.
